Delicious chocolate easter eggs and sweets on wooden background

Here at Naomi J Ryan Estate Agents we know how important it is to feel at home, so we’ve put together some ideas for you and your family to feel comfy in the county this Easter.

Exeter Cathedral

Easter Egg Hunt from 21st March to 10th April – some Easter egg shapes will be hidden throughout the Cathedral and an Easter party will be held on March 29th from 10 to 11.30am.

Check out the website for more details.

Killerton – National Trust, Broadclyst

There’s a fun Easter trail to follow around the parkland and gardens, lovely at this time of year with Spring blooms. Explore the winding paths leading to the Bear’s Hut, Ice House and chapel and get a tasty Cadbury’s chocolate prize at the end! Normal admission fees apply plus £2.50 per trail – 19th March to 11th April – see the website for more information.

Poltimore House & Grounds

Take a Spring stroll in the grounds and a walk through time as you explore the house. On 19th March the House and Grounds have an Open Afternoon with an Easter Egg Hunt from 12 to 4.00pm – it’s free for children under 16 and only £2.50 for adults – click here to book online.

Family Community Day at the University of Exeter

Go along to the Spring Community Day for a day of FREE family fun at the University of Exeter’s Streatham campus on Sunday 20 March 12 – 4.00pm.

As part of their Diamond Jubilee celebrations this year, they are inviting the whole community to the university’s biggest campus for a day of fun activities for all ages. Free entry and free parking and no need to book!

Practice your ball skills with Exeter City Football Club and have a go at ultimate Frisbee! There will be bouncy castles, giant games, face painting, wacky experiments, music, live performances, tennis taster sessions and much more! Bring a picnic and explore the beautiful grounds and grab some tasty delights from the farmers’ market on site for the day.

Check out the website for full details.

Pecorama – Seaton

There’s a full weekend of entertainment planned, with shows every day at 2.30pm in the Peco Marquee from Good Friday to Bank Holiday Monday.

Check the Pecorama website for more details.

Gemfest at the Exeter Phoenix, Gandy Street

Gemfest is back for its 4th year of festival fundraising on Easter Sunday. The last three events raised more than £15,000 for Hospiscare and The Brain Tumour Charity. Organised by a local brain tumour survivor and her friends, the daytime event (11am-4pm) is packed with family activities, and in the evening there’ll be a variety of live music and entertainment from 6pm.

More details can be found on the website.

Exeter Corn Exchange

There are some great family shows on over the Easter period:

Beatrix Potter from 24-26th March
The fantasy world of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ on 30th March

We think you’ll agree that for those of us lucky enough to call Exeter our home (plus visitors!) there’s plenty to do in and around our beautiful City. We’ve only highlighted a few events in this blog, but there are many others around Exeter and the rest of the county – check them out:
